TorqueFlite A-727 Transmission Rebuild
I was going through archives trying to get some content on the board and I came across some photos I took of the rebuild process on an A-727 transmission. I am not sure I have pictures for everything, but I will post up what I have and try to fill in the rest as time allows. Anyway, in these pictures, you will see the state of the transmission and transfercase when I pulled them out. It was covered in sludge. When I started the rebuild of the engine, I uncovered the primary culprit. The oil filter adapter had no gasket between it and the block. Typical PO fix was to just keep adding oil.

On to disassembly. In the next couple of pictures we point out the speedometer adapter that needs to be removed.
Then we move on to removing the tail housing._____________________________________________________________________
