tranny swap info related?

i was reading back in the archived mgs when i came across a ? that was similar to mine. was wondering if the same info would apply. i have a 292chev inline six engine with a 3 speed manual tranny , i would like to swap the tranny to a turbo 350 ,can it be done without to much trouble ?thanks for any info i can get.
